Getting this error while adding a user in the notifications in the workflow element.
Users: Input string is too long. The maximum size is 80.
how to increase this limit.
I'm not a great form guy - but I'd check the backing EDT of the form/table its tied to. Should show the string max size in there.

Can you share a screenshot of the workflow configuration with the element and the error? I'm not sure where exactly you get this error now and what steps you performed.

I just add a new user in user assigned in purchase order workflow
steps :
Purchase order WF > open steps > assignment > users > add user
Note: I have already assigned 9 users and the one I try to add is the 10th, so it gives me this error.

I have just tested on D365F&O and there it works fine - I was able to add all users (around 60) to workflow assignment. Probably is something on AX 2012 version and has been fixed during upgrade.
If you need to assign multiple users, I would suggest to use "User group participants". This way you can have any number of users and you can manage the list outside the workflow setup.
