Actually Support from Microsoft

I realize this product is in its infancy, but it is being sold now and marketed to customers. How does someone go about actually getting support from Microsoft?

While I have used this forum multiple times and benefited from it, much of the information has come second hand (from someone other than Microsoft). I've attempted to contact our Partner Support only to be shuffled around to half a dozen departments each telling me they cannot help me. I think my biggest pain points can be summarized as follows.

  • "Report a problem" (https://attract.talent.dynamics.com/ticket) function does not seem to do anything. Yes I can fill out the form and hit submit but I receive no indication that the message has gone anywhere other than a black hole. No verification via email (which you include on the form) that a ticket has been created. I've yet to have a single person contact me anytime I've used this form.
  • There is no other way to submit a ticket. Office 365 support has no category and the Dynamics 365 (https://admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/) support has no category. I can pick a random category just so support contacts me but now I'm in another shuffling situation.
  • Solutions and functions disappear with little to no documentation, explanation or replacement indication.
  • I used the Job Post function regularly. It took 6 phones calls and multiple forum posts and finally a chat with retail sales rep for me to find the one line in all of the documentation that indicated what happened to the function. For everyone's record it is now part of "Comprehensive Hiring Add-On". Which creates an additional problem. I do not have access to purchase or acquire this add-on.
  • Today I discovered that I can no longer access my assessments that I created using Gauge. I couldn't figure out why my candidates weren't completing my assessments. Turns out it is a dead link now. I have been unable to find any announcements or posts regarding problems or retirement for the product. My guess is this has been rolled into another obscure add-on that I can't purchase.

Essentially the product is becoming more and more worthless to me with each update. I am beginning to regret choosing this ATS solution.

How has everyone else handled their challenges?

    Hi Paul,

So sorry to hear that you aren't happy with the support, or the lack thereof!

I recommend that you take a look at this page: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/unified-operations/talent/talent-support

Since the system originates from AX/Finance and Operations, it uses the same support-system, the LCS page, but as far as I can see, that only applies for the Core HR, not for Attract/Onboard/Gauge.

I agree with you that it's strange that functions have been removed with no options for buying it. Just last week we found some details about the Comprehensive Hiring Add-on SKU in our License guide, but no information about how you buy it or the prerequisites (if there are any).

Sharing guides in Onboard was also suddenly changed with no information, the sharing was stopped, but the onboarding teams which makes it easier to share the guides aren't coming till February 19, that's not good!

I hope that Brandon, Jennifer Wang, Jill Carter, Harsh Srivastava or anyone else in the Microsoft Talent team can be of some assistance here.

I've tried going through LCS as all. I don't understand that portal very well. We don't use the Core HR stuff since we were already using a third-party project for that stuff that we are pretty happy with.

As an update to my post, I did receive a response from the "Report a problem" function regarding Gauge. Gauge was deprecated at the end of October. I was provide a link to the announcement but it was in a restricted Yammer group that I do not have access too. Also all the public documentations indicates its still an active product.

For now, I will just have to make my assessments in Forms and manually input the info after that face.

I had received a response from Brandon to a previous post but never received additional information regarding licensing.

Since we are a small company with minimal recruiting needs we may just rely on Indeed to manage the process for now until we can figure out licensing in Talent.

Thank you for your input, Malin.

Hi Paul, apologies for the problems you are facing right now. We will work with our marketing team to set up a call with you to forward the right licensing document shortly. For anything, please let us know directly and we will try resolve it.

"Report a problem" (https://attract.talent.dynamics.com/ticketomegle) I also filled out the form but there was no check mark. It's frustrating to spend time filling out a form and not receive confirmation.
