Ok, I know it should not happen, but it has happened. Client runs the Trial Balance for the first month of the new year and there is an out of balance situation - or so we think.
There is a difference of 4,915 between DB and CR totals and we have reviewed all the accounts for that value - and it is not there.
Wondering if we are missing something? What else can we look for? We found some Revenue Accounts that were classified as Balance Sheet, but they were new accounts and there were no transactions for the prior year - so they are not a problem.
Looking at the accounts we know which 3 accounts are the problem and when we print the detailed TB for those accounts for one period, the missing balances show up. However, when we run the same TB dates for summary these balances do not show up.
How do we fix that.
