Replicating a base (standard) entity

Hi guys,

I want to create an entity by replicating appointment entity. Is there a way out to replicate all the fields of an entity on to to another entity , just like we can do while creating a new custom security role (we can copy the values of a role exactly and later rename it).

kindly guide!!
