RMA Entry / Update - What is the purpose of the RMA tracking number?

Hello,

GP 2010 RMA Entry/Update includes a "Tracking Number" field at the RMA line level. I'm not finding any help text or GP documentation that describes what the purpose of this field is or how to use it? When I specify a shipping method and a value for the tracking number and then click on the internet button next to the tracking number I receive a message that says "There is no custom link with Internet Address setup for shipping method: UPS ground. How is the tracking number supposed to be used?

    Tracking Numbers is used to track orders on the Internet.

    Tracking Number links can be created based on the shipping method for a document, linking to tracking information on the shipper’s web site. To create a links for tracking number, follow above frank's suggestion.

    it's supposed to be used just as you suspect, Larry.  However, you need to set a path to the website that will do the tracking of the number in Custom Links.  Administration>>Company>>Custom Links.
