GP 2015 R2 Install database issue

Hello All,

I am in the process of upgrading from GP 2010 to GP 2012 R2. I installed the program and had almost everything running. However, when I did the install I forgot to install Human Resources and Payroll a product we have licensed. Now I am getting an erro attempting to configure older version for 4 products. 1911, 4522, 4933 and 4955.  Is there an easy fix? or do I need to bring back in the old databases and convert? I found a company script file, but it is only for versions 2013 and before. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Have you tried installing those modules and the re-running Utilities?

I tried a repair. When I go to control add/remote programs and try to change GP I do not see these individual modules.  When I start utilities I still get the same error. Is there a way to install separate modules?

I think you need to install those from the install media.  It's the HR & Payroll Suite if I remember correctly.

Actually, you can also add them from the Modify area in Add/Remove programs.  It's the Human Resources and Payroll Suite.

I tried that and no luck. Should I remove, reboot and try to reinstall?

Can you give a little more info on the exact error message you are getting?  Has the upgrade process run at all or are you getting the "Failed to obtain product version information" shortly after logging in to Utilities?

That is the exact message I am getting.  I ran a sql query on one of the bad modules

It almost seems like you already upgraded them since the db_verMajor is at 14 which is GP 2015.  Are you running the utilities on the original box you ran the upgrade on?

Yes I am. Let me backtrack a little. I did an install, got great plains up and running. Was getting an error about a missing .dic file. I realized that I did not install Human Resources and Payroll Suite.  I did that this morning and now I am getting the errors when attempting to run GP utilities. I have a full copy of the client before I did any changes, I also backed up the sql databases. I am hoping to find a way to fix this without restoring old copies of the GP 2010 database as I added users for Web Client. Is there a way to export users? Thanks
