Dynamic worksheet fails to update - "The user authentication passed to the platform in not valid."

I have a user that has several dynamic worksheets she updates in Excel 2016.  She selects "refresh from CRM" but then gets an error.  I tried to edit the connection properties and log her in but then it requires me to navigate and import the table/advanced find.  If I do these steps I still get the same authentication error.  I have also tried with my login and get the same error.
