D365 Portals - Can we change the default field mappings to Contact record?

Hi,

Every portal user is created as a Contact in the system. The email address is mapped to primary email address field by default. Can we change this mapping to map it to a custom field instead? I know we can have a workflow in the system to copy the email addresses but our requirement is to never populate primary email addresses foe portal users.

Is there a way to do so?

    Hi OliviaR,

    It's hard to achieve it, the email address map to primary email addresses field of contact when one user register in portal, which is OOB feature.
