Why do AR Aging Summary and Detail Trial Balance mismatch?

Hi All,

Can someone provide an input on the possible causes of this concern? What is the most accurate report to be followed-is it the AR Aging Summary or the AR Aging Detail?

All reports are supposed to provide the same result, unless you have corrupted records in your database which results with mismatched calculations.

For that, I would recommend starting with the following maintenance activities to make sure that the summary balances tie to the details

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities> Reconcile

Current customer information

Outstanding document amounts

Fiscal Year

Calendar Year

Microsoft Dynamics GP > Tools > Utilities> Reconcile - Remove Sales Documents

Make sure to check the "Reconcile" check box, and all the documents within the range.

Now you may proceed with printing the AR trial Balance, and check the results accoridngly
