Item Card - Weight / Height / Depth fields

Within Business Central, on the item card I am able to enter values into the fields Net Weight, Gross Weight, Gross Height, Width etc. I cannot see any units associated with these fields - is it just a case of deciding which unit to use (e.g. for weight KG) and then ensuring that all values entered are in that unit or is there a more controlled way to do it through the system?

Item unit of measure table holds similar fields: length, width, height, cubage, weight. If you use KG as a unit of measure then you will be accurately be able to say. Otherwise it is just a case of deciding all items will use g, KG or lb

Here some information between weight in Item Card and Item Unit of Measure. Item card is used externally. Item Unit of Measure is used internally by warehouse.
