Inventory Item number / Inventory description disconnect.

We have begun having an unusual issue -- after an order is saved, the inventory item # for the item on the very last line changes but the Item description/price remain the same.

All issues have been related to adding to an order with a backorder, sequence is...

1) order is placed

2) items on hand ship

3) backorder arrives and is allocated (via SOP to POP) to order.

4) Employee calls customer to verify item is still needed and to upsell.

5) Additional items are added to order. (Always more than one line item added).

6) After saved, the item number of the last line item changes to one of the other item numbers that were added in lines above it. The description and price remain from the actual/correct inventory item entered, not the inventory item # that the Item # changed to. (We end up shipping the changed items, but charging the price of the orginal inventory item).

7) When order is reopened - we can see the change.  (However we are discovering AFTER it ships when we are contacted by customer for receiving the wrong items).

8) We are unable to replicate this issue but it has occurred 4 times in the last 10-12 weeks.

We are on GP 10, we use SOP to POP.  We use Accellos WMS and the Blue Moon bridge.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
