Security Roles: Parent Child Access Levels

Hi,

As per the documentation form Microsoft:

"Deep. This access level gives a user access to records in the user's business unit and all business units subordinate to the user's business unit."

Do subordinate business units apply to ones that are NOT directly below the parent ie BU's that are two levels down from parent ? This seems logical but I just want to confirm.

    Hi,

    Yes, it works even for multi-level child business units.

    For example, A user called Jeff belongs to Root Business Unit and a security role is assigned to him which has the Read privilege to a custom entity in Deep level.

    There are two Business Units, BU 02 and BU 03, whose relationship is Root Business Unit - BU 02 - BU 03.

    Create a record of the custom entity and assign it the team which is the system administrator of BU 03.

    When the user Jeff log in the system and check the record, this record is readable but read-only to him.
