Does CRM is still accessible as read-only

One of my client decided to move from dynamic to an other CRM.

They are now wondering if they will still be able to access their old data but as a read-only mode?

They were able to export pretty much all data except for the attached files and those are very important if they get an audit.

Do microsoft allow a read-only mode after the subscription is over?

    Are you talking Dynamics Online? Microsoft provides a Team member licence which allows them to read only. Its cost is just  a fraction of a normal licence. Your client can buy some of those and use them. Now better yet, since all users of that Dynamics instance are moved to another system, then why not the client keep one full licence at least so that they still have full access to the system.

    If Dynamics 365 Online you could configure the Data Export Service (docs.microsoft.com/.../data-export-service) to export the data to an Azure SQL environment.  You would need to configure this with a valid license to export the data.

    Other options would be ETL to pull the information out of the system to another database.

    In general, you need to be licensed at some level to view the data in Dynamics 365 (even a Team Member license would work).
