CRM 2015 currency decimals separator bug in dynamic exports to non-US Excel

Hi

We run CRM2015 rollup1.1 onprem with Office365/Excel2016 on Windows 10.

Our CRM System format is Dutch and with Euro as base currency. Decimal separator is a comma "," and thousand separator is a period "." in NL.

The Excel regional settings in our building are set to Dutch format by group policy. This setting is re-applied every day.

When I export a dynamic worksheet of a CRM view with a currency column in it and with decimal places >0,  things go astray. Upon an initial export, the numbers in my Excel sheet all show the correct amounts, with no thousand separator and with the correct decimal values, like 7500,0000. However when I click "Refresh data from CRM", the amounts in my Excel currency column all get multiplied by 10000.

For example: the amount 7500,0000 in my initial Excel export, upon clicking Refresh, suddenly jumps to 75000000,00

The same with 1390,98, this jumps to 13909800,0000

Before our upgrade to CRM 2015 rollup 1.1, things were fine and we didn't have this bug.

It is not possible for us to remove the decimals as we use thousands of records and would give rounding issues, changing my Excel regional settings daily or our group policy isn't an option either.

Can anyone confirm this? Hopefully this gets noticed by Microsoft, recognized and fixed in a new rollup. All our dynamic export reports are now useless.

Thanks

Martijn

    Hi,

    we have the same problem.

Using MS Dynamics CRM Online 2016-Update (8.1.0.549).

    German regional settings.

    Excel 2016 on Windows 10.

I create a dynamic worksheet export which contains comma separated values.

When I open the exported .xlsx everything is fine.

After updating data by using the 'Update via CRM' plugin button in Excel the values are 'corrupted'.

    Example:

    Value in CRM list: 3,03

Value in Excel after Export: 3,03

Value in Excel after 'Update via CRM': 42797

Changing the separator symbols in Excel is not an option. After pressing the update button, the mentioned values stay correct, but other date values are corrupted.

I there a known workaround or a fix available?

    Thank you,

    Florian

    Hi,

For me it looks like a clear platform bug for you language pack. You should raise support ticket for Microsoft.
