First, let me start by appologizing if this question does not make since. I do not fully understand what is being requested. I am not in the accounting department, so I do not use SL.
We are using Dynamics SL 2011 SP1. I have been asked by our controller if a company can have multiple budgets. If so, can you point me to some information on accomplishing this?

You can have multiple budget ledgers in GL. You just set up additional Budget ledger IDs in GL>Ledger Maintenance. Then enter budget information as wanted for each ledger.
Yes. By adding additional ledgers with balance type of budget. Look up ledgers or budgeting in the GL module in the on line help. This data is stored in the GL's Ledgers Maintenance screen.
