How to put range of record in OData Data entity call through postman

Hi Folks,

I m working with OData, where I m calling a data entity through postman. I m giving the range like below image but still all the records of DE are coming. Is there any specific logic to get specific records from the Odata.

So how can I put the range in the postman body to get specific no. of records? and Please let me know how many lines can the OData endpoint return in response ??

Hi,

When filtering data you need to use $filter in the url

For example:

Url/data/dataEntityName?$filter=Field1 eq 'value1'

This means you want records from this data entity where Field1= value1

Can you please show us your url? What data entity are you trying to call? And what is the filtering you are trying to achieve?

Its a custom Data entity I m trying to call the URL as you told, but below error is coming. Could you please let me know what can be the issue?

https://URL/data/PublicCollectionName?Cross-Company=true&$filter=ID eq 'abc'

Hi,

It seems your ID is not a string so try and remove the single quotes and let me know
https://URL/data/PublicCollectionName?Cross-Company=true&$filter=ID eq abc

Yes you are correct, it worked when I removed the single quotes.

I think it's 10K records.

To avoid this limit you can use pagination by using $top and $skip

But in general it's not good to use odata for large data
