Does anyone know how to display hyperlink instead of full url in workflow mail notifications ?

There is no setting for this. You can have a look if there is an opening to hook in using an extension at the moment the mail will be processed. I'm not sure if this part is supporting extensions.

Are you operating AX2012 or D365FO?
In the latter case you might think about leveraging business events and the PowerPlatform to send out those notifications e.g. by email.

I have just tested the link on Expense in D365 F&O:
And it is working correctly - I get only short link
Thanks for your answer. It seems to work for expenses yes, but not on purchase request workflow. Problably more or less a bug...
Had a look at LCS but could not find a bug reported for AX2012 that is related to your issue.
If this long link/string is not ok for you then I would recommend opening a support request with MS.

We got the same issue.
Alternative solution is -- Instead of inserting %Workflow.Link to web% we simply mentioned the system environment link here. After that went back to the PO and try to submit for approval. This time; it's just show the system URL link as set in the workflow configuration.
But as always; for better clarity of such case, you should log a support request to Microsoft.

Unfortunately I do not have any AX 2012 available with me right now!
I will look after that if I get access anywhere to check this.
