Is there a Role/Privilege to restrict a users ability to create General Journals?

HI Tyler,
It is the other way around. When you don't grant acces using a duty or privilege, the user will not see the journals. What exactly do you want to achieve? No access, read or probably certain type of journal names?

Please try byassigning following security privilege/duty to your intended security role.
Security Privilege Name: LedgerJournalTableView
Label: View general journal transactions
(or)
Security Duty Name: LedgerJournalsTransactionStatusInquire
Label: Inquire into journals and transaction status
I was hoping the user could see the journals, so read access, but not able to create new ones. Additionally, what does "Inquire" specifically mean?
Mentioned security privilege/duty does have read access. Have you had a try by adding it to your user role.
