Issue Installing Custom ISV Solutions with License in UDE Environment

Hi folks,

I'm currently facing a challenge while installing custom ISV solutions that require licensing in our UDE

Here’s a quick overview of what I’ve done so far:

  1. We have multiple ISV solutions, and I created a new folder to house the custom metadata for these solutions
  2. I pulled the latest custom ISV models from Azure DevOps.
  3. Performed a Build + Deploy to the connected online environment.

Post-deployment:

  • The model's name is appearing correctly under the "Version" section in the About page of the environment.
  • However, the model is not showing up in the License Configuration form, which prevents me from enabling it.

This seems to be a blocker as I can’t proceed with the licensing step. I've tried searching for relevant documentation or blog posts, but couldn't find any clear guidance on handling this scenario for custom ISV models. Could someone please guide me through the correct steps to properly register and enable these custom ISV solutions with licensing in a UDE environment? Any pointers, best practices, or documentation links would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I haven't tried it by myself, but there is a process of including license files mentioned in documentation:

How do I include a license and directly deploy from Visual Studio?

Licenses can be directly included and deployed by placing them in the __License (with two underscores) folder in the model, at the same level as your bin folder. This license is verified and applied when you deploy the package.

Additionally, a Full DB Sync from the Dynamics 365 menu in Extensions is required for the applied license to take effect.

Thanks @Martin Dráb. Will try this.

Hi @Akil, did you try it? I have 30 models. Under each model, inside the Bin folder, do we need to upload the license folder? Could you please confirm if it worked for you?
