We are experiencing extreme slowness in Business Portal when saving line items in timecard detail. We have roughly 70 users that fill out weekly time cards. Any ideas on how to speed this up?

Same issue here. In our several employees have between 20 and 30 entries and saving can take up to a minute. any suggestions?

I would like to second Sean's comment. It is when you click Save Line Items. My system is running about 12-15 seconds each time one of my users clicks Save Line Items; most have more than 20 line items. I have no custom triggers on the labor tables. It would be really nice if this was cut down to 4-6 seconds or even quicker.

At what point is it slowing down?
1. When they load the webpage with no data, and select a weekending date to create a new timecard on?
2. When they add a new line to the timecard?
3. When they complete the timecard and save?
4. Do they use line item approval? When the timecard is set to complete and approvals are on, Each Project Manager would be getting a notification. This could slow the process down.
5. How many timecard line items are present. I've noticed that saving does tend to slow down after about the 15th line item added.
6. Do you have any custom Triggers on the labor tables?
7. Probably the best course of action is to run a sql trace to find out where problem is.
