Hi,

I'm looking for some suggestion on how to generate a PDF view from Opportunity, Invoice/Quote entity.

I have gone through many community posts but nowhere been able to find PDF generator from Invoice Entity.

My requirement is simple. I just want to create a PDF view of a current Invoice that is open.

    Hello,

There are two routes you can take, both have some manual steps.

    1. Use a Word Template

Create a Word Template that you can run on the Invoice entity and export it to Word. In Word, use the [File] > [Save As] option to save to the PDF file format.

    2. Use a Report

Create a SSRS Report (which you can do with the Reporting Wizard) that can run on the Invoice Entity. Then run your report on an invoice and click the Save Icon (floppy disk icon) in the report viewer and click 'PDF' to export it as PDF.

    Hi,

Please refer the below URL where the requirement can be achieved by using SSRS report (using rdl file) and the custom code to generate PDF from it.

Is there any way I can query data directly form Invoice entity using odata query and javascript then render the data as PDF? the javascript will help me create a button and once I click on the button it will download the PDF of that particular record. I want to avoide report creation route as from a users perspective it's double work.
