Migrate MS Dynamics on premise To cloud

Hello All,

We would like to move our MS DYNAMICS On premise environment to Cloud. But we would like to migrate individual component.

Is it possible to migrate non-sql component alone without sql component ?

If yes then what are pros and cons.

from OnPremise to Cloud (CRM Online) you can migrate two things:

1) customizations

2) data

of course the data inside custom entities need to be migrated after the customizations has been imported inside CRM Online.

There isn't something like non-sql o sql components

Our database will be available on cloud after few months. But can we migrate our application server before that ?

if not then why, What all component Application sever contains ?

Also, Is it possible that My CRM Online can be connected to On Premise SQL Server?

There is no need of app server or database to move to cloud. Microsoft runs all the required inrastructure, you just have to push your customization and data of your crm to crm online.

As Guido and Chitrarasan indicated you just need to migrade customizations and data, there is no a direct way to load this information into cloud service but there are some tools and methods that could help you to move information in a faster way
