Need a reliable and good GP consulting company

We are using a local GP consulting company but need someone with better response and that doesn't nickel and dime to death. We are in North New Jersey and any insights or experiences please share.

    Integrated Business Group in Orlando, Florida has a great team that not only travels but does good work remotely.  They not only have GP app specialists but also database and SQL experts.

    I can throw my hat into the ring on this one. I'd like to think that all of us consultants (I do not sell the software) will give you excellent response time and fair pricing. It pains me to know that you have not had a good experience. It has been  my life's work for the past 20 years.

    My question is, what type of business do you have and which modules are you running? Whomever you select should be competent in both understanding your business and understanding the interworkings of Dynamics GP.

    To my credit, I am a SQL Server DBA and a CPA. I understand both the accounting and the technical side of this application. In addition, I know Dexterity, which is the programming language in which Dynamics GP is written.

    If you have any interest in discussing how you might evaluate a new consulting firm, please give me a call.

    Leslie, is indeed one of the best. The combination of accounting, SQL and Dexterity knowledge is tough to beat. I think the most important aspects to being a good consultant of any kind is to listen to your clients, suggest options and then set expectations and to follow through. It has been that way for a few centuries. Let your clients know what it takes to get a job and then add value to products you have sold them. I think you will find all MVP's feel the same way. We all have years of experience and enjoy sharing our knowledge of GP. That is why we are here. If we happen to get a consulting engagement out of it, that is just a bonus. I, personally, have been at this since Dynamics 1.0 and have the floppies to prove it. We are just up the Hudson River in beautilful Saratoga Springs, NY.
