    Is it a Tier2 sandbox or Tier1?

If Tier1, just create normal SQL backup (.bak) in the source, then restore it to target.

If it's Tier2, you need to first export .bacpac using LCS tools.

Then download the .bacpac and import it in your devbox.

After import, you need to run db sync before you can use the system.

    This doc describes it: docs.microsoft.com/.../dbmovement-scenario-exportuat

There's also a really nice community made PowerShell library called D365FO.Tools which makes the .bacpac import much easier. Please check this: github.com/.../d365fo.tools

The error says "Database login failed". Please double check that you did all the steps mentioned in the documentation.
