Just downloaded the latest version 9.1.0.20 and tried on a trial Dynamics instance. It connects to my trial instance but when I clicked on Register New Assembly, nothing shows up. I was able to disable/enable existing steps, view details, etc, but just got nothing when registering new assembly.
It seems the file path to be the cause to the problem. It was downloaded to my OneDrive, then once moved to C:\source\plugintool folder, it starts working fine.
I have the same problem: I downloaded the plugin registration tool from download-tools-nuget but when I click on "create new connection" the application freezes.
Personally I dislike all the answers suggesting to use XrmToobox because that because that tool doesn't have the debugging capabilities of the plugin registration tool.
Hi Everyone, I will agree to Ambar and Ravi to use the XRMToolbox and install "Plugin Registration" to register your plugin, I have tested it and it works for me.
Though I really don't know why we can't use the "Plugin Registration Tool" to register new plugins, good thing we do have an alternative.
Please try to register it from xrmtoolbox plugin registration tool
Deleting the contents of the folder:- C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\PluginRegistration
Now re-open tool and try to connect......!!!
Also, you could use the plugin registration tool availabl in Xrm Toolbox.

This issue seems very strange. Could you please try it on some other machine(laptop/ desktop). I had similar issue once but in my case, due to resolution, it was completely visible (I could see the bottom bar though).

I am having latest version 9.0 of Plugin Registration tool and also I am using D365 trail version to connect the plugin registration tool.
I downloaded from here only. connection was created and same problem If i click on new register assembly no response from register page was displayed.
