Since the Report Control for Dashboards doesn't seem to exist (or work) anymore in CRM 2015, how does one display a report in a Dashboard?

Have you tried the approach explained in the below post

I don't think that will work for a Linked SSRS since the URL is not the URL of my CRM org but rather the URL of the SQL report server, therefore, the "action=run" part doesn't apply.

if your report shows only crm data you could deploy your report into crm then it will be very easy to add report to dashboard. If you can't add ssrs report to crm then you may run into issues as they reside in 2 different appdoamin. User may be prompted with login screen when they open dashboard also if user does not have access to ssrs report they will see access denied error screen. If you really want to place ssrs report into crm dashborad ask user to change their browser settings to automatically logon within internet sites that may help to stop showing login screen. Also make sure users adds report server url to the interanet site.

Well I tried adding a DNS entry for the SSRS server in the same domain as the CRM server but I'm still getting prompted.

The only solution/workaround is to put the report in a System Dashboard where I am then able to uncheck the 'Restrict cross-frame scripting' setting. Only then am I able to load the dashboard without getting prompted to login.
