Hi all,

Recently we ticked the "Block editing" parameter in Stock management > Setup > Parameters > Bills of materials tab in AX 2009. So, System is not allowing to edit approved BOM.

But, if i am on a BOM and I want to use the Explode BOM functionality, if I remove the approval on the top level BOM, then the functionality should work. while now, it is also checking that all the sub levels.

Kindly help me here.

Hi AXDeveloper,

You need to remove it from the BOM, not the current BOM version to remove the approval successfully.

Given link describes about AX 2012 but looking for AX 2009. This will works same for AX 2009 also?

yes, the bom approval is the same in AX2009.
