Price Worksheet only works when there is a price list S00001 or P00001

Hi folks,

we have activated the new pricing experience in business central (cloud-version, newest build) which comes along with the new price worksheets (formerly sales price worksheet).
Our customer wants to increase his sales prices which are now on several sales price lists (e.g. S00002, S00003, S00004).

The process is like:

Select all items with manufacturer code 'A' and increase the prices by factor 1.05. Maybe setting the old prices with an end-date and the new prices with a start-date, so that there is a kind of history of old prices visible.

I haven`t found a useful way to do this within standard business central and new price list feature. Is there anyone who has done this until now and does have a smart solution which is working?

I have the same question (0)

Did you try setting these fields?

    Hi,

yes this fields are used. But by using this I have to make several price lists, 1 for each manufacturer, because I cannot select all price list lines of items with manufacturer code = 'A'. So this is not a solution for me. In my case the items are all on 1 or 2 price lists. Now I have to select all items for manufacturer 'A' and increase these prices and put them as new lines on the same price list or making a new price list and putting an end date on the old price list lines. But it fails at the first step....!

I also tried the price worksheets but I think there are in preview mode because I can only update price list S00001.

What is manufacturer code? is it a custom field?

Can you use Item Discount Groups instead of Manufacturer code so you can set the Price list for Item Discount Groups?

    Hi Mohana,

manufacturer code is a standard field (5701) on the item table (27).

What I want to do is "select all items from price list line where item.manufacturercode = 'X'" and then updating the price only for these records. All other items on the price list line must not be updated.

The price list has the start date and end date to update, so not sure what are you expecting ? Are you expecting some kind of report for you to create a new price lists based on your requirement, if so that is not possible without customization and also you need to understand not all sales price lists are defined in the same way, some can be defined at item level, some at group level, and same even at source it could be for one customer or muliple customers. There is no standard way to automate this, you need your specific customization.
