Credit Card Add on Software

We have seen some demos of add on software for Dynamics GP to process credit card or ACH receipts from customers. I would like to know if anyone is using an add on solution?  If so, what?  Your opinion of the product.

    I have setup and installed on calle Nodus Credit Card Advantage (CCA) and also Credit Card Encryption (CCE).  It was efficient however not the easierst to install.  I set this up twice, and had to get their tech support people on the phone a bunch of times due to certain errors and such.  But once they were all hashed out, it seemed to work nicely.  You can run an entire batch of invoices with a click of a button.  Just look up Nodus Technologies Credit Card advantage.

    Thanks for the info.  We just saw a demo of this so good to hear from a user.  How was the tech response time?  They also have another product ePay Advantage  which provides online billing and collection.

    The tech response time was just fine. I had to schedule some conference calls with them.  My experience was that the people who anwered the tech line were basically troubleshooters and did not know much, but you could always ask to talk to some of the developers to get the right answers.  It seemed like a pretty small shop they had.

     I had 2 completely different scenarios as to why we were having problems.  One with a unique shared launch (dynamics.set) file that posed a challenge since only certain users needed this 3rd party.  The other was a version error where someone was running GP 9 on SQL 2005 and there were syntax errors with the install we had (using sys.objects as opposed to sysobjects, or something like that).  They fixed it quickly, but it did take a while to troubleshoot.  Anyway, my experience was with GP 9 both times so I'm not sure how it goes with 10.0.

    Definitely test it with the right version and SP information in a test enviornment before you go live.

    I don't know anything about the ePay Advantage, sorry.

     I have not worked directly with any of the credit card addon products, but I know that a lot of our clients use the Azox Credit Card extension for GP as well as the Nodus product you are investigating now.

    We are also looking at Azox.  Although our client use the GP product, they have not purchased the AR module yet so are not locked into this solution.  However sticking with GP seems like it would be best.  Eliminates having disjointed systems that need to maintain and create either an automatic or manual bridge to.  However, my client is interested in looking at other products and maybe purchasing AR somewhere else.  Do you have any clients doing credit card processing with another Accounting software?  If so, what are they using.  Thanks for your input.

    When looking at credit card processing solutions apart from functionality you should also consider which products have the necessary certifications to pass audits. The payment card industry (Visa/MC) has released a couple of mandates (PCI Compliance and PABP Certification) over the last 2 years that directly affect the customer's ability to process credit cards e.g. if you are using a non-PCI compliant solution you can be audited by Visa and be fined $250K per incident, failure to use a PABP (Payment Applications Best Practices) solution could lead to cancellation of the customer's merchant account which would mean that they can't process credit cards at all. Although there are many PCI Compliant solutions in the market, Nodus is the only PABP certified credit card processing solution for GP. This can be verified from VISA's approved vendor list available on www.visa.com

    Hi Beth

    We have recently deployed GP and part of our solution was the need for a web based product that would allow us to accept credit cards online which would also integratre seamlessly with GP. We chose a product from Azox Business Solutions which does the job with no intervention from ourselves and is also just as useful as a desktop credit card interface.

    OK, full disclosure:  I am an Account Executive for BluePay Processing

    BluePay offers a simple all in one solution for payment processing within GP and integration with e-commerce.  Unlike other multi-vendor options out there, we provide our own plug-in, gateway, merchant account, and ACH account.  Our solution can be used to process credit, debit and ACH payments.  We are fully PCI-DSS compliant and transfer a significant amount of liability off of the users' shoulders through the use of tokenization.  Best of all, we have just made a decision to provide our plug-in for free going forward!  Let me know if you would like more information or a demo.
