Hi Guys

I wonder if anyone else has got the same error. I have a user who's D365 F&O home company dashboard is working fine in one company, but when he switched to another company he has access to, his dashboard won't open, instead, he gets the error

You do not have sufficient permissions to open the menu item defaultdashboard.

We have not made any changes to security at all, nor have we run any updates. The odd thing is his favorites tab is available to select and he can run his reports for the fav tab , but when you select the home tab or the F&O tab at the top he gets the error. Any idea why this would be happening

Clearly there's some company specific security setup for this user. Could you review it? And share us the details if you need our input. Thanks!

Hi Nikolaos, I have taken a look but I see nothing specific, and they are using basic security. Where do you set the access for home page access, normally its a default page, and everyone has access to the home menu

Does the user have different security roles in different companies?

    Hi,

Check if the user has 'System user' role and in 'Assign organizations' particular LE is assigned or (you can give access to all LE if that is required)

surprisingly not. he has the same configuration for both. I can see anything different between the companies. Hence my confusion as this is not a common error found unless you have sub cat security

I just checked that and I spotted they only had one company linked, so I have linked the missing company and will test as soon as the user is available. Where is the home dashboard access granted? In the system user or is there another location?

I'm quite sure it's in the System user role.

    Hi,

Yes 'System user' role grants access to the Default dashboard as well as few other basic forms.
