Hi Everyone,

Currently we are facing an issue on security governance (license usage summary)

There is an automatic change in the ''license usage summary'' without doing any modifications (This issue is for all the users in the environment)
After an change made for one of the user the required information is not reflecting.

Kindly refer the below for detailed explanation:

After we made the required setups for the ''license usage summary'' we got the data against each users but for some reason there is a difference in the data as below sample.

Image 1 - At initial stage below was the data for one of the user

User ID	User name	Licence	Covered entitlements	Remaining entitlements
AXXXXX	AXXXXX	Finance	462	0

Image 2 - After a week today, the data is showing as below

User ID	User name	Licence	Covered entitlements	Remaining entitlements
AXXXXX	AXXXXX	Commerce	410	52
AXXXXX	AXXXXX	Finance	52	0

For a user we have removed few action menu item and display menu item and made a rebuild and re-enabled the ''users'' form. Even after 6-8 hours there is no reflection for changes.

Hi,

As the message on the top of the says... Updates typically take 2 to 8 hours to appear in reports. Allow time for changes to be processed.

I would recommend a wait of 24 to 48 hours, before reaching to Microsoft.

Hi Community member,

Can you tell if the user has one or multiple roles? On the Role licenses page, can you filter on the role and check how many menu items are covered for the Finance SKU and how many not entitled? Can you share the securable object names that are not entitled for the Finance license? I would like to understand if the change is due to an underlying fix or a bug in the license meta data.

Hi Vijitha,

If some underlying calculation data was (correctly or incorrectly) changed by Microsoft, then indeed not only one, but multiple users are affected using one or more roles.

I would like to understand what menu items are now changed in the calculation data, now triggering the Commerce license. If you still have the issue that Commerce is required next to Finance, please share details, so I can verify it. If it was a mistake from Microsoft, a support ticket can be created. If something got changed with having Commerce the intended license, you can review if the users need all of the write access to the securable objects.
