Documentation Request for Dynamics RMS

I need to take over the support for a multi-location, multi-pos RMS infrastructure and I am completely new to Microsoft Dynamics. I do not need to know the business side of things when it comes to day to day business operations. I am interested in how backups are set, replication schedules, backup methods, database maintenance. I wasn't able to find any documentation on it. I'd like you to share one if you have. I've directly contaced microsoft but they have informed me that there is no technical documentation (which is quite odd)

To save you a bit of time poring through the documentation, RMS does not have built in automation for backups, shrinks, integrity checks, and other database functions. You can get around some of this by either using Server Management Studio or by using task scheduler to launch a script that uses a module to run commands against the database (osql, pyodbc, etc).
