Hi Support,
When sending Vendor Remittance Advice we are getting an error "A call to MailKit.Net.Smtp.SmtpClient.Send failed with this message: No recipients have been specified."
We did a bit of digging and found that it is searching for customers and trying to use the customer's email address rather than vendor's. If the Customer with the same number is not found, it will print the above error, else it might even send the vendor's remittance to the customer.
This is happening in version 19.1.3.xxxxx
Please review
Thanks,
Ilija, Moiz.
I have had a response from Microsoft and the fix is in the next update - we were told it is being deployed to our environment later this week
This is a pretty big issues for us - unhappy clients - anyway to escalate this?
None so far mate
Having the same issue - any updates?
Hi Andy,
Thanks for the response, the authentication is not the issue, I am able to send the test emails. The error is No recipients have been specified.
I am Using Business Central and trying to send Vendor Remittance Advice, since the recent update Microsoft has done, the Emails are being sent to the customers not to the vendors.

Hello Ilija - I have the following questions to help you narrow this down:
1. Was MFA recently enabled? If so, you will need to create an App Password. This app password is what you will use as the Password in SMTP setup. Here is a doc about App Passwords:
How to manage app passwords - Azure Active Directory | Microsoft Docs
2. Is the User ID in SMTP Mail Setup a Global Administrator (Office Admin Center)? App passwords are automatically disabled for Global Admins. This would need to be a non Global Admin user.
3. I see we have a community post that goes over this message
