How do I setup a new make part in GP Manufacturing

I am wanting to setup a new make item in the test environment. I will need to use raw material for this MAKE part. Once completed then I can create the BOM using the new part number pulling from raw Material then asign the machine I have already created called Test machine 01, from this I can specify routing.

How do I setup up the raw material? Same as a part?

I have created a few parts a top level then a sub assembly then a piece of raw stock.

When I go to setup the BOM I get the error "This is not a made part"

In Item Resource Planning (Replenishment Method) and Item Engineering Data (BOM should treat as), a 'make' item in the BOM needs to be set to 'Make'.  These windows are available from the Go To button in the upper right corner of the Item Card.
