    Hi Rohith,

You will need to create a customized routine to do this in AX 2012

    Hello Rohith Reddi,

There is no standard alert available for this at the moment. You thus have to create it yourself.

By the way, are you using AX2012 or D365FO?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

On hand is a dynamically calculated field. To run an alert across every item, every time there is a transaction  would potentially be a huge performance overhead

MRP will advise you when you run it. Typically when you need this information its because you need to order to replenish the stock,  and mrp does all of that analysis of how much to order, and when. .

    Otherwise run a daily report.

if you can't plan more than day ahead then you need to look at other systems e.g visual indictors, or load sensors or …….manual tickets or...

However you may have many item codes you don't stock, and only buy/make ad hoc - e.g expensive spares  so you need to consider which items to report or you will have a lot of pages with zero values (e.g service items, by product items, etc).

Obviously you need to set up those minimums and to decide how min max is to work (e.g..seasonal, dynamic etc whether you to look at future dates etc,)

    Hi All,

Thank you for your valuable answers.

OK, So i can use item coverage setup for item with Min/Max quantity and run the critical on-hand inventory report. there we can see physical quantity and minimum quantity as per item coverage setup. or else we need to recommend the Master planning to generate planned orders based on the safety stock.

please suggest me. if im wrong anything

    thank you

    Rohith
