D365FO Printing quality issues using Embedded PDF viewer

Hi all,

We are facing issue related to quality of print when we print report using Embedded PDF viewer provided by D365FO.

We print same report using standard PDF viewer and it prints much better.

We are having this issue with Dot Matrix Printer only.

It seems like kernel level issue, is there any hotfix provided by Microsoft for Embedded PDF viewer?

Please share your thoughts how we can resolve this issue, I try multiple fonts as well but same issue.

We are on following build number

2019 release wave 2

Installed product version : Finance and Operations (10.0.5)

Installed platform version : Update29 (7.0.5372.35448)

    Hello,

    I can see many fixes in LCS for Embedded PDF viewer.

    It is advisable to raise a product ticket to Ms, and get that verified by them with proper fix date (quality or service update)

    The first thing you should do is to update your system to latest D365FO version and test again.

    PU29 has been out of support for a long time. You are allowed to skip max 2 consecutive updates, otherwise your system is not supported.

    The whole print preview functionality has been replaced with a new one after PU29: docs.microsoft.com/.../preview-pdf-documents
