F&O Work Breakdown Structure Screen "jumping" when working within

Hi

We are using D365 F&O 10.0.44 and all of our users find it really frustrating that when working in WBS and adding or removing lines the cursor moves back to the top of the WBS and they then have to scroll back down to where they added the line (our WBS schedules can have hundreds of lines)

The screen generally seems quite jumpy and I've noticed this is because it scrolling up and down on the side bar for a while before your cursor settles.

Has anyone else found this and found a solution to it, or do you have any advice on how to work more effectively with the WBS when they are particular large schedules.

Thanks in advance!

Sarah

    Hi,

    I did a small test in v44, the record will jump to the parent task when I do a deletion. Other than this, didn't notice a lot of jumping...

    Maybe you want to try to use this function to ease the data entry?

    Thanks for your response, you're seeing different behaviour to us as our cursor jumps to the top to line 1 rather than the parent. We have tried using the excel option but it creates us problems with number sequencing and where we have added/deleted lines :-(

    Hi,
    We're currently struggling with similar issues when entering WBS estimates... each time you modify the quantity or cost per unit on an estimate line and press arrow down, the cursor jumps to the last estimate line in the WBS. This is really unusable...
    I guess the only way out is to log an issue with Microsoft...
    Regards;

    Hi all, just came across this entry in the LCS issue search, it seems, we will have to accept it or vote for an improvement....

    You can improve the behaviour, when collapsing most of the structure.
    The cursor will also jump to the original position after a second...

    Thanks, the LCS update is a result of a ticket we had open with Microsoft, we've now escalated further as its not an acceptable response for something so critical to our business.

    Will try the tip suggested to collapse the structure in the meantime - thank you :-)
