Date Formula

Good day, 
 
I am trying to create a Job Queue scheduled report to send me the sales for a specific group of customers for the month thus far. Below is the snapshot of how I have configured the report request page:
 
 
 
However, whilst the report is running successfully every day, it is giving me zero values for the sales as below:
 
 
 
I suspect it is my date formula? I am putting /CM/ in the Filter Totals by > Date Filter/ section? Is that correct? If not, what would the correct date formula be so that I get sales month to date for these customers?

    -CM..CM
     
    -CM will return first date of month
    CM will return last date of month

    Hi,
     
    If you use 'p' instead as below.
     
     
    Then it should set the dates to the period as shown below.
     
     
    That should work as expected.
