Hi,
I have a question that I hope that one of you more experienced individuals can answer. I have not dealt with too many POS systems, basically the extent that I have done with any of them was preventive maintenance and relocating them into a newer building. I have found myself in a position that a client of my company is moving into a new building, they will be upgrading their POS equipment to a newer PC and from 2.01 to 2.0.1006.
The store manager wants to install a Firewall, which shouldn't be an issue, I have worked on Firewalls several times and should be able to configure it to allow what the POS program needs to function. The store manager also is looking into installing a MS Exchange server and Windows Server 2012. My question is,
Can I install the RMS software, Exchange Server, and Windows 2012 R2 server onto one computer without issues nor limitations?
Is there certain Hardware requirements that I need to take note of? other than the needed requirements to run Windows 2012 of course.
Is there a recommended RAID configuration and/or security issues that I will need to address.
Also, I have looked evey where and cannot find a Manual for the program so that I can become familiar with it. Is there somewhere where I can download a User/Admin's guide to the RMS software?

When you say 'virtualization', you are meaning VMware, correct?
The RMS POS system can work under a Windows 2012 domain, right?
As for RAID, I would not recommend running anything other than Raid 10. As far as databases go all other RAID levels will cause a performance hit.
Straight off the bat you do not want to put critical services on the same server. This is a perfect candidate for virtualization.
