    RE: Import dimension

Are they shortcut dimensions? In the configuration package you need to select Columns By Dimensions, this will ensure shortcut dimensions are included in the excel file.

If they are global dimensions, ensure under Table -> Fields, the global dimensions are selected under Include/Validate fields:

    RE: Import dimension

    hi

To import dimension values onto the Gen.journ table 81 in Business Central, you will need to ensure that the dimension values have been set up correctly and that they are available in the package you are using.

Here are some steps you can follow to import dimension values onto the Gen.journ table 81:

Open the Gen.journ page and select the journal you want to add dimensions to.

Click on the "Dimensions" button at the top of the page to open the "Journal - Dimensions" page.

In the "Journal - Dimensions" page, you will see a list of all the dimensions that are available for the journal. Check the boxes next to the dimensions you want to add to the journal.

Save the changes you have made.

To include the dimension values in your package, you will need to ensure that the dimensions have been set up correctly in the Dimension table (Table 370).

Open the Dimension table and select the dimension you want to add values to.

In the "Dimension Value" page, click on the "New" button to create a new dimension value.

Enter the required information for the dimension value, including the Code and Description.

    Save the dimension value.

Repeat steps 7-9 for each dimension value you want to add.

Once you have created all the necessary dimension values, you can export the package from Business Central.

When importing the package into a new environment, ensure that the Dimension table and the Gen.journ table 81 are included in the package.

Import the package into the new environment.

Open the Gen.journ page in the new environment and check that the dimension values are present.

If you continue to have trouble including the dimension values in your package, you may need to seek assistance from your Business Central support team or a consultant.
