HOW TO VIEW GL BATCHES THAT HAVE BEEN DELETED WHILE IN WORK STATUS

Hi all -

We have transactions that posted correctly in SOP. So the customer records are correct. However they did not post to GL (posting through GL might not have been set up correctly). There's no GL batch waiting to be posted. The only explanation I can thing of is that the batches were deleted from GL before they could be manually posted. Is there any way to view (probably through SQL) deleted batches from GL?

Hi,

If the transactions were truly deleted from GL before they could be manually posted, the is no way to view the deleted batches. To prevent this from happening in the future, I recommend you change your General Ledger setup to not allow the deletion of saved transactions.

With this option marked, none of the entries coming up from subsidiary ledgers can be deleted before they are posted to the general ledger.

Have you tried running a SOP Breakdown Register Summary (or Detail) Reprint? You can do this by going to Reports>>Sales>>Posting Journals>>Sales Posting Journal, create a New report option. Provide a name for the option and then select to Print either "Detail Breakdown Register" or "Summary Breakdown Register" and insert the range of Audit Trail Codes involved. Click on the Destination button and select Screen or Printer, etc. You could also create Smartlist if you have Smartlist Builder using the SOP10102 and GL00105.

No I have not. We're pretty sure they did not post to GL. And it's confirmed by a user that they were deleted by mistake because they had errors. Now we just need to know if there's a way to view deleted transactions which I highly doubt is possible.

Have you tried running the Reconcile to GL routine in the Financial module? That should show items that posted in the individual modules but not to the GL.
