Hi,

Somehow I got duplicated Microsoft_Dynamics_GP Project in Tools>>Customize>>Visual Basic Editor in GP2015.

Please advise how to remove one. I could not find a way to do so.

Thanks in advance,

Huan

Is that project for any GP module or some 3rd party product?

Also try to share screen shot or more details, so it will help people to understand your problem.

    Hi Almas,

    It is for GP module.

I did show the screen shot as below. Can you see it?

    Thanks,

    Huan

None of us can see the screenshot. I've never been able to cut and paste. I always use rich formatting and then import the picture file into the post. Are you saying you have the Microsoft_Dynamics_GP item on the list twice?

    VB-Editor-window.png

To attempt to resolve a twice listed issue, I'd first copy all of my code to notepad and then move my dynamics.vba file out of the GP folder. Then, I'd restart Dynamics and take a look at the VBA Editor. Is it OK? I'd then exit GP (save changes to VBA), replace the newly created dynamics.vba file with my old one and fire it up again. If the duplicate returns, it's probably time to create a new dynamics.vba and paste your copied code into it.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Hi Leslie,

I tried to use rich format and I could copy and paste the screen shot. However it got disappeared after I submitted. :(

Yes. I have Microsoft_Dynamics_GP item on the list twice.

I will try following your instruction and let you know how it works. :-)

    Thank you very much!

    Thanks Huan88,

I appreciate the follow up. You cannot copy and paste the screen shot and have it survive, as you have experienced. You have to save it to some kind of picture file - I use .png - and upload the file into your message.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Huan,

I just had a random thought about this. The list of names showing up in your VBA Editor window come from the Dynamics.set file. I just changed 'Fixed Assets' to say 'Microsoft Dynamics GP' and sure enough, there are two of them now. It's a long shot, but take a look at your Dynamics.set file to make sure the product names make sense.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

    Hi Leslie,

I have 23 in the list because of duplication and 22 in Dynamics.set. :(

    Thanks,

    Hi Leslie,

I tried to move the Dynamic.vba out of GP folder then login. It still shows 2 but now one has no list under. Before it had exact the same set. And the VBA code are still remain. So I don't need to copy the code back. One step forward. :-)

    Thanks,

    Hi Huan,

This still bothers me. Do you have VBA Code in any of the other objects? From the graphic in your post I can see Collections Management and Credit Card Advantage may have some objects/code attached. If it were me, I would want to start from a clean slate. Initial weirdness has always led to more weirdness in my world. I would copy all of my code and move all of the .vba files to a safe place. Then I would open the VB Editor again and copy all of my code back - make sure your references, if any, are still intact. I would run it that way for a while and then delete or archive the old .vba files.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
