Hi everyone,

I am new to Microsoft dynamics AX 2009. I have an issue to solve in AX 2009.

How to restrict user can not edit records from vendor form level in ax 2009?

How to set a field as view level in ax 2009?

Thanks in advance & Regards,

Vignesh

You can achieve in different ways:-

Just got security keys for the table/form and give only view access to particular user group and add users in to group.

    Or

Just write a code at form init() method and based on user id make datasouce to non-editable.

    Hi Vignesh,

Security : Go through this link. blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/.../special-permission-settings-in-dynamics-ax-2009

Also you can find more examples on web and MSDN..

For particular users you can make datasouce property to allow edit to "no"  this will restrict to user to edit the records on form.(Not recommended but you can use as temporary solution)

If you want to restrict only few fields. Just create one user group and add users you want to restrict.

Go to security permission Administration > Setup > Security > User group permissions

On the permission tab select table and specific fields and give view access. Then user in particular user group can't modify the field data.
