2I was installing and configuring the Subcontracting extension in one of my customer's environments today.
I discovered an issue where, once the Subcontracting extension was installed, I was unable to select a vendor in the Subcontractor field on my work center card. When I tab out of the field after selecting the vendor, the value does not remain and the field stays blank.
I have followed the setup instructions below and configured a location code on the relevant vendor:
Am I missing something, or is anyone else experiencing the same issue?
If I uninstall the Subcontracting extension, I can successfully validate and save a vendor in the subcontractor field on the work center card.
I then tried to verify this behavior in my own Contoso/Cronus test environment, but encountered a different and more fundamental issue.
After downloading and installing the extension, the Manufacturing Setup page is not extended with the Subcontracting fast tab. The same applies to the Vendor Card, no expected extended fields shows. It is as if the extension is installed, but nothing has actually happened. See the attached screenshots. I have logged out and in again, the issue remains.
However, this did not happen in my customer's environment I was referring to in the top of this message. There, the extension gets installed correctly and the additional fields appear as expected. My issue in that environment is specifically that I cannot configure the work center card because the subcontractor vendor cannot be assigned.
Has anyone else experienced either of these issues with the Subcontracting extension?
Version of the extension is 28.4.53241.53726 in both scenarios.
Both my and my customers environments are BC 28.4 with Swedish localization.
