Unable to install Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 VS Tools Components (64 bit)

Hii,

Versions: Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and Visual Studio 2013.4 Ultimate.

Error 1309. Error reading from file: \\192.168.25.20\c$\ERP_Implementation\DynamicsAXR3CU8Media\Updates\CU8splitstream\msi\vstools64\Users\Microsoft\DynamicsConfiguration\Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Design.Model.Reports.ReportsModelDefinition\Microsoft.Dynamics.Framework.Design.Configuration.dll. System error 3. Verify that the file exists and that you can access it.

    Hi Rana,

    I think the latest version of visual studio is not properly compatible with AX.

    Try visual studio 2010 ultimate.

    As long as I remember, I have faced several issues when i tried to add VS tools in the environment where we have recent version of VS.

    Thanks Hassan Raza,

    I have VS 2010 Professional installed. VS 2013 with update 4 is compatible with AX 2013 R3.

    Something is missing that i am not figuring out..

    Hi Rana,

    Then please check the source file of VS 2013. May be its corrupt or missing a specific according to the error.

    Hii Raza,

    This error occurs when I run AX setup and Select Development Tools  and click next... Some issue in AX Setup... I you see the Attached Image...for detail error...

    Hi Rana,

    Have you tried to use any other source file of AX to install Development Tools?

    I think, your source file is corrupt and missing some files.

    Please re-download the source file and try it or if you have any backup of the source file.
