lookup

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

hello,

i made some sql tables that are filled when i open a custom made lookup.  The tables are filled but don't show in the scroll window. I managed to get one lookup right and the scroll window is filled ok. All the rest are exactly the same exept i use a different table, I don't get it why one works and the others don't. The tables are linked to my lookup form and i am also using fill window Lookup_Scroll;

like i said one lookup works fine so, i'd like to know if certain rules apply that make each situation different based on table fields etc coz all lookups i made are similar and the tables as well. I checked them a million times to see if somethng is different with the one that works, and they are exactly the same.

 cheers

    I am assuming that you are using Dexterity.

    All you need to do is make sure the scrolling window has the correct table as the linked table and select the linked key.

    Then in your code you need to issue a fill window command.

    What is more likely is you are having a pathname issue with your table and Dexterity is opening a new instance of the table which has no records. See the KB below for more info.
