In this video, I show how to improve or replace the out-of-the-box integration between Dynamics 365 and SharePoint using PowerAutomate.

The out-of-the-box integration between Dynamic 365 and SharePoint is an awesome feature for document management and collaboration but it comes with some limitations. Hopefully, Power Automate help us leverage this integration and make it even more awesome.
I wanted to achieve 2 goals:
1. Create the SharePoint folder and link it with D365 at the record creation instead of when a user navigates to the document tab in a record. In my scenario, some users only work in SharePoint and need to have access to the folder right away.
2. There's no OOB way of creating a folder structure automatically. In my scenario, document management needed a complete structure to properly classify documents.

Hi Samuel, thanks for creating this video but the Guides forum is for Dynamics 365 Guides, a HoloLens app for creating mixed reality/holographic training. I will move your posting to another forum so it gets better visibility with the right audience. Keep making videos!
