New User in Sales Missing Shared Content

Posted on by 98
I am setting up a new Dynamics 365 Sales user.  They can get into the Sales Hub site but they can’t see anything created by their colleagues?  For example the Accounts and Contacts are blank except for what they created themselves.

Thank you in advance,
John

Thank you for your reply, it does seem to have something to do with the display (the selected view).
'My Active Accounts' and 'All Accounts' are two views of the account, They set up different filters to return specific records.
    --'My Active Accounts':
It makes the view to display the 'Active' records owned by the currently logged in user.
It's normal that you don't see other users' shared accounts because those shared records are owned by other users, not the current user.
    -- 'All Accounts'  view:
There are no conditions, so it returns all the records, and of course you will be able to see the records that have been shared.
Users can also set their default view directly in the sales application:

Real simple:  The new user default was to display 'My Active Accounts'.  Once this was changed to 'All Accounts' the shared Accounts could now be viewed.  I then went into the Power Apps admin and set All Accounts to be the default.

Security roles and permissions had already been confirmed.  Prior to this for troubleshooting, I had an existing user forward the URL of an existing account to the new user.  Similarly, I had the new user forward the URL of an account they created to the existing user.  They could both see each others content so this led me to think it was display related and not security.

    Hi Partner,
Checking the permissions in the new user's security role for the records that need to be accessed:
Select one record and click 'Check Access' button, and select the new user in the lookup:
--The user's record privileges are displayed. The user's privileges are either Yes or No.
--The result shows a blank page when the user doesn't have the Read privilege.
--For the Yes privileges, you can select them to see whether the privileges were granted from a security role or from the record being shared with the user.
--You can see the privilege's Access level of the assigned security role.
If the access level is "User", it means that you can only view records that you have created yourself.
If you want to the use view more records:
1)Select one security role that assigned to this new user, improve access level of this entity.
2)Share other records created by other users to the new user:
