I am new to GP fixed asset and I am setting up the fixed asset module and would like to know whether its necesary to set up accounts group by store and class since i have set up the accounts to include store as the first segment considering that i would like to track cost by store in our accounting system. We have aprox 260 stores and setting up account group by store and class (10 different types) in order to match up to the accounts will be a terrible task....

Hmmm, the only alternative I can think of would be to setup your accounts in an Excel file and import them using either Integration Manager or Table Import. Maybe someone else on the forum has another option.

Hi Frank,

Yes, I have separate accounts for each class, for example one of my class is: machinery and equipments which has a specific account specified for only this type of class.
