electronic messaging+electronic reporting

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to implement a simple and automated scenario in D365 Finance & Operations:

I have an Electronic Reporting (ER) format that generates a customer invoice in JSON, using CustInvoiceJour and CustInvoiceTrans(header+lines)

 
I want this JSON file to be automatically generated and sent via Electronic Messaging right after the invoice is posted.

The goal is to trigger the process as soon as the invoice is validated/posted, without manual action.

    OOB, you can leverage the print manager to send the document when the invoice is posted:
     
     
    However, the feature is design the send invoice layout (you can even personalize the layont leveragin the business document manager): https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/er-business-document-management
     
     
    Out of those two point mention upper, I fear it's a custom.

    Hi Giorgia ,thank you for your answer.
    In my case, I need to send a customer invoice in a custom ER JSON format, not a standard PDF.

    I want to achieve this via Electronic Messaging, with the trigger being the posting of the customer invoice
    ow can I programmatically trigger an Electronic Message (EM) execution with its actions (e.g. populate records, generate file, etc.)

    Hi,
    You can set a record on electronic reporting destination to send the JSON file via email once you click on Print, View or Send function. For more info please check Business Documents – Part 10 (Distribution Methods) – DynFOTech
